The opinions and takes were flying around Sunday after the Cincinnati Bengals’ embarrassing, 48-10 loss at the hands of the Minnesota Vikings. Nothing went right, really for any phase of the game, as the Bengals suffered their worst loss in franchise history.
Legendary Cincinnati Reds broadcaster Marty Brennaman, a Reds Hall of Famer, took to Threads to show his disappointment with Cincinnati’s front office.
“What is unacceptable is Bengals ownership,” Brennaman posted. “This football team is a joke, and the main reason is the unwillingness of ownership to spend the money necessary to make this team a contender. As I said, it’s a joke!”
Brennaman usually isn’t so critical, but a performance that included five turnovers that translated to 31 points for Minnesota, Brennaman wasn’t the only one taking aim at the top of the Bengals organization.
Despite their 2-1 record, the Bengals have now been outscored by 33 points on the seaso,n and if things don’t get better fast, the complaints will only get louder.
The Bengals take on the Denver Broncos next Monday on Monday Night Football.
