Take a look at this week's Chiefs Stock Watch to see which players were risers & fallers in Week 3 vs. the New York Giants | @EdEastonJr
The Kansas City Chiefs had the winless cloud hovering over them heading into Week 3's matchup with the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football. Another game without Xavier Worthy due to his lingering shoulder injury continues to affect the offense to begin the season.
Patrick Mahomes was efficient in his approach again, even without Xavier Worthy, and made the most of his receivers, including JuJu Smith-Schuster and Tyquan Thornton. Isiah Pacheco showed some life in the running game, having his best performance of the young season, while Kareem Hunt found the endzone.
The pass rushers were back and all over Russell Wilson, wth Chris Jones and George Karlaftis cashing in on sacks. Interceptions from Chris Roland-Wallace and Jaylen Watson stalled potential Giants scoring drives. Harrison Butker converted on three of four field goal attempts to help secure the Chiefs' first victory of the season.
Check out how some of Kansas City's stars fared in the Chiefs' victory over the New York Giants:
Stock Up: Patrick Mahomes
The Chiefs quarterback was consistent in his attack against a fierce Giants pass rush. He finished the victory with 224 yards passing and one touchdown.
Stock Up: Tyquan Thornton
A second consecutive week of improvement for Thornton, who continues to adjust to his additional responsibilities as the go-to receiver. He ended the night with five catches for 71 yards and a touchdown to lead the team.
Stock Up: George Karlaftis
The Chiefs' pass rusher was all over the field as he collected a sack and led the team in tackles with eight.
Stock Down: Jawaan Taylor
Another challenging game for the veteran right tackle, as he was hit with another penalty and had some issues in protection.
