A look at who the majority of experts are predicting will win the highly anticipated Week 3 game between the Detroit Lions and Baltimore Ravens.
Lions vs. Ravens predictions: Who majority of experts are picking to win Week 3 game originally appeared on The Sporting News
The Detroit Lions and Baltimore Ravens will close out Week 3 of the 2025 season when they do battle on Monday night. Both teams are off to a 1-1 start.
The Ravens coughed up a big lead in Week 1 and lost to the Buffalo Bills before rebounding with a convincing Week 2 win over the Cleveland Browns.
The Lions also lost their Week 1 matchup to the Green Bay Packers but dropped 52 points on the Chicago Bears in a blowout victory last week to move to .500.
This is the eighth meeting between these two teams. The Ravens have won six out of the seven, including each of the last five. The Lions haven't beaten the Ravens since 2005 and Detroit has never won a game in Baltimore, where the Week 3 contest is taking place.
So, do experts think the Lions will finally get over the hump in Baltimore? Or do they think the Ravens are going to continue their dominance over Detroit?
Let's take a look.
Lions vs. Ravens predictions
Vinnie Iyer, The Sporting News: Ravens 30, Lions 27
Iyer: "The Detroit Lions are intent on making up for the 38-6 defeat they suffered in Baltimore in October 2023. They were motivated last week to explode with their offense to run away from the Bears and former offensive coordinator Ben Johnson. The Baltimore Ravens will move the ball better here with Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry. Detroit will make its share of big plays through ground and air but it won't be enough late."
Bill Bender, The Sporting News: Ravens 34, Lions 31
Bender: "Finally, a great Monday Night Football matchup. Baltimore beat Detroit 38-6 in their last meeting in 2023. We expect the offenses to put on a show, and the coaches will be on the spot for a few fourth-down decisions. The Lions are 4 of 5 on fourth down this season. Still taking the home team in a close one. The Ravens are 6-3-1 ATS as a home favorite since last season."
Pete Prisco, CBS Sports: Ravens 37, Lions 30
Prisco: "This will be fun as both teams can score. The Lions scored 52 last week, while the Ravens scored 41. I don't think either will come close to those numbers, but they will get into the 30s. Look for the Ravens at home to win a fun shootout."
