Personal Thoughts
Wisconsin went with its usual rotation of defensive linemen, with the top four (Jay’Viar Suggs, Brandon Lane, Ben Barten, and Parker Petersen) getting the majority of the reps.
At outside linebacker, Sebastian Cheeks saw his reps decline, while Mason Reiger remained a clear-cut three-down player. Instead, Wisconsin sprinkled in more Aaron Witt, who worked in his hybrid linebacker role, and rotated in a few more players, with Micheal Garner and Corey Walker getting some action.
At linebacker, we saw the most of Mason Posa yet, as the true freshman saw 12 snaps throughout the game.
There still is no depth in the secondary. Ricardo Hallman continues to play 100 percent of the snaps, while the other boundary spot rotates between D’Yoni Hill and Omillio Agard. At safety, without Preston Zachman, it was pretty much all Matt Jung and Austin Brown.
