Best DFS picks for Lions at Ravens in Week 3

Nick Simon takes us through his favorite picks for FanDuel’s Week 3 DFS matchup between the Lions and Ravens.

Week 3 of the 2025 NFL season is wrapping up and the action will conclude with a Monday night showdown featuring the Detroit Lions visiting the Baltimore Ravens. Baltimore enters as a 5.5-point home favorite, with an over/under of 53.5. Both of these contenders enter this primetime at 1-1 on the year and will try to avoid falling into a hole at 1-2.

Below we will take a look at the best DFS plays for this Monday night matchup.

Captain’s Picks

Lamar Jackson, QB, Ravens (FLEX $12,800, CPT $19,200)

Jackson is the most expensive player to roster in this matchup and that comes as no surprise given the tremendous value that he provides. The two-time MVP has been virtually flawless through two games with 434 passing yards on a 68.8 completion percentage, 83 rushing yards, and seven touchdowns total. Every single one of his passes are going for big gains as his 13.2 yards per completion so far matches his career-high from last season and is tops in the NFL heading into tonight’s contest. He’ll be going up against a Lions defense that is bottom 10 in passing EPA, so there’s an opportunity for him to let it rip through the air in this primetime showdown.

Jahmyr Gibbs, RB, Lions (FLEX $11,800, $CPT 17,700)

After a disappointing Week 1 performance, Gibbs got back to business last week with 12 carries for 94 yards and a touchdown in the Lions’ 52-21 trashing of the Bears. The “Sonic and Knuckles” tag team of himself and David Montgomery tore up the Chicago defense on the ground last Sunday and the Ravens run defense having a poor rushing EPA of 0.12 bodes well for their chances to have another productive outing on the ground. Also keep in mind that Gibbs has been targeted 13 times as a pass catcher through two games, increasing his viability as a captain option in DFS.

Zay Flowers, WR, Ravens (FLEX $9,800, CPT $14,700)

Flowers has picked up where he left off from last season with 14 receptions for 218 yards and a touchdown through two games. He has far and away been Jackson’s most trusted option and that’s reflected by him currently leading the NFL in target share at 42.33%. He’s making the most of those targets by ranking fourth in yards after catch at 113 and he’s bound to jump to the top of the list following this game. Flowers has a good shot at delivering yet another great performance for the Ravens in a big matchup like this one and there’s value to be had for any DFS manager considering him for a captain’s spot.

Value flex plays

DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Ravens (FLEX $4,600, CPT $6,900)

No one really expected Hopkins to revert to his prime Texans days when he signed with the Ravens this offseason, but he has stepped up for the team through two games. He’s turned his limited targets into big plays with an average of 24.8 yards per reception and he’s scored a touchdown in both games for the Ravens. The benefit of having him on board is that if the Lions focus too much on Flowers, Jackson can simply turn to the veteran All-Pro to make plays.

Isaac TeSlaa, WR, Lions (FLEX $3,000, CPT $4,500)

TeSlaa hasn’t quite exploded yet, but he has shown flashes of what he can do with two receptions for 42 yards and a touchdown through two games. He’s been showing off his freakish athleticism since training camp and he’s put that on display in the regular season with both of his catches being one-handed grabs. Jared Goff indicated this week that they’re working on getting the rookie more involved in their offensive game plans, so keep that in mind when looking for low-cost, high ceiling options.

Brock Wright, TE, Lions (FLEX $1,600, CPT $2,400)

Sam LaPorta usually takes the spotlight at tight end for the Lions but it was Wright who got some shine against the Bears last week, catching three targets for 28 yards and a touchdown. Baltimore has yielded an average of 16.3 fantasy points on FanDuel through two games, so be on the lookout for Wright in the red zone tonight.
