The No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs host the Kentucky Wildcats in Week 6 of the 2025 college football season. Georgia hosts Kentucky a week after playing Alabama, so the Kentucky game could be a trap game for the Bulldogs.
Kentucky plays Georgia in their second consecutive SEC road game. Before playing the Dawgs, the Wildcats play at South Carolina in Week 5.
Georgia is 3-0 to start the year with a big SEC win over Tennessee. Georgia has less notable wins over Austin Peay and Marshall. Kentucky is 2-1 and lost to Ole Miss, 30-23, in the Wildcats' SEC opener. Kentucky has notched wins over Eastern Michigan and Toledo.
Kentucky is the lowest ranked team in our SEC power rankings. The Wildcats face the defending SEC champions in what appears to be a mismatch on paper. However, Kentucky has played Georgia really physically in recent years. The Wildcats nearly beat Georgia last season, but the Bulldogs surged in the fourth quarter to win 13-12.
Georgia has won 15 straight games against Kentucky dating back to 2009. The Wildcats offense has struggled to be productive against coach Kirby Smart and has managed over 17 points just once during the Smart era. Smart is 9-0 against coach Mark Stoops and Kentucky. Georgia has dominated the all-time series history with a 64-12-2 record.
