Sky’s the limit for the Englishman right now.
Amidst a perfect start to the 2025/26 season for Vincent Kompany’s Bayern Munich, Harry Kane has been the talk of the town. Like a fine wine, the English striker seems to get better with age. At 32-years-old, Kane is in the form of his life, scoring 13 goals and assisting three in the first seven appearances of the season.
In the wake of Kane’s emphatic form, people have been raising the question, just how many goals will he score this season?
Well, following his hat-trick against Hoffenheim, Kane was adamant that he would not “set any limits” for himself.
“I generally don’t set any limits for myself, we’ll just keep going,” explained Kane in a post match interview with Sky (via @iMiaSanMia). “Sometimes there are periods where things don’t go as hoped for a striker. But right now I have the momentum and I’m enjoying it. I feel good. I know I’ll get my chances in this team. Big praise to the boys. I’m working hard for the team, and I know the goals will come.”
If Harry Kane continues in this vein of form, Robert Lewandowski should be frightened because his Bundesliga goal scoring record could be in serious danger. However, a lot of things would need to go right for the ‘Three Lions’ captain to claim the record for himself, perhaps the most crucial being his fitness. At the very least, Bayern Munich fans can enjoy watching the world’s most in form striker at the peak of his powers.
Bayern Munich will get some down time…not much, but some.
The Bavarians are not back in action until Friday against Werder Bremen, so a day or two of rest will not be such a bad thing for a squad coming off of an arduous week.
