New York Giants HC Brian Daboll hinting at making quarterback switch for week four

Are the New York Giants going to finally make a quarterback change?

The question has been floating around for quite some time. When are the New York Giants going to bench Russell Wilson for Jaxson Dart?

Well after another lackluster offensive performance on Sunday night football against the Kansas City Chiefs, everything seems to be on the table for this football team. Wilson has played poorly in two of his three starts for the Giants. With the offense looking inept once again, is this team about to get desperate and make a quarterback change?

New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll Hints at Making a Quarterback Change for Week 4

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network was paying close attention to Brian Daboll's presser to reporters on Monday. Daboll said about the team potentially making a quarterback change,

"We’re evaluating everything."

With this team evaluating everything, there is a good chance that Dart could potentially start in week four at home against the Los Angeles Chargers. The Chargers are 3-0 to start the 2025 NFL season and are one of the best teams in the NFL. Throwing the rookie potentially into the fire against an elite defense is a desperation move from the head coach.

The Giants traded up to draft Dart in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. If they do make the switch at quarterback, this is Daboll's and Joe Schoen's last chance to save their jobs. If Dart starts and if it doesn't lead to him playing well or wins potentially, this whole regime is going to get fired.

Maybe starting the rookie over Wilson will lead to Malik Nabers getting the football more often. The quarterback controversy is going to be an interesting story as the week progresses. Once they officially make the switch to him, the clock is officially ticking on Daboll and Schoen's job.
