Many of the top high school football programs will battle each other down the stretch this season. With the second half of the 2025 campaign underway, the state rankings have once again updated.

Lone Peak pulled off a massive upset and beat Corner Canyon for the second year in a row, yet the Chargers remain at No. 1 atop the Knights. Three more top-10 matchups are coming up this week.

Below are the top 25 teams in Utah heading into the seventh week of the season, according to the Massey Ratings.

1. Corner Canyon Chargers (5-1)

Turnovers sealed Corner Canyon’s fate on Friday night. Star senior four-star quarterback Helaman Casuga and the Chargers turned it over four times in the shock 42-21 loss at Lone Peak. Three second-half interceptions kept things out of reach as Corner Canyon lost for the first time since the Knights upset them last August. All the Chargers can do from here is rebound and look to avenge that loss in the playoffs like they did in 2024. Things don’t get all that easier, though, as CC now takes on No. 3 Skyridge this week.

2. Lone Peak Knights (5-1)

After seeing Lone Peak fall to national power Bishop Gorman (Nev.) a couple of weeks ago, it felt like it would succumb to a similar fate against Corner Canyon, another top-25 team nationally. The Knights just might have the Chargers’ regular-season number, though. It was a 28-21 game at halftime and the Lone Peak defense pitched a second-half shutout, buoyed by the three interceptions. With momentum in-hand, the Knights have more tests coming up, too. They take on No. 6 American Fork this Friday.

3. Skyridge Falcons (5-1)

After suffering a humbling 51-28 win to Colorado’s Cherry Creek, Skyridge got right back on the horse last week and won a massive rivalry showdown over top-five Lehi, 42-38. Senior quarterback Kaneal Sweetwyne threw three interceptions, but also finished with 371 yards and three total scores. The Falcons aren’t close to being done with a severely-tough stretch of games, either. Corner Canyon makes its way to Lehi this Friday and No. 2 Lone Peak will follow next week.

4. Lehi Pioneers (4-2)

Lehi hung tough and looked to have the upper hand early, scoring multiple long touchdowns while also racking up some early turnovers. The Pioneers offense was stymied in the fourth quarter, though, and is now 4-2 on the season. Before the loss to Skyridge, Lehi had allowed just 31 total points. The Pioneers’ remaining schedule is just as stout, with No. 7 Herriman up next this week.

5. Davis Darts (5-1)

Led by one of the biggest rising quarterbacks in the nation in Boise State pledge Tradon Bessinger, Davis now checks in at No. 5 in the Beehive State following a 29-15 win at American Fork. Bessinger shined once again, finishing with 435 yards and four touchdowns. Unlike the four teams of them ahead in the rankings, The Darts do not currently have another top-10 matchup on its regular-season schedule. They host No. 12 Syracuse this Friday.

6. American Fork Cavemen (5-1)
7. Herriman Mustangs (6-0)
8. Ridgeline Riverhawks (6-0)
9. Mountain Ridge Sentinels (4-2)
10. Fremont Silverwolves (5-1)

11. Orem Tigers (4-2)
12. Syracuse Titans (5-1)
13. West Panthers (5-1)
14. Timpview Thunderbirds (3-3)
15. Springville Red Devils (5-1)

16. Crimson Cliffs Mustangs (5-1)
17. Morgan Trojans (5-1)
18. Weber Warriors (3-3)
19. Farmington Phoenix (2-4)
20. Woods Cross Wildcats (4-2)

21. Riverton Silverwolves (3-3)
22. Alta Hawks (2-4)
23. Bountiful Redhawks (2-4)
24. Westlake Thunder (4-2)
25. Brighton Bengals (2-4)
