Seneca Indians Softball Edge Joplin Eagles in a Tight Matchup on the Diamond

The Joplin Eagles fell to the Seneca Indians in a close battle on their senior night. HIGHLIGHTS HERE:

JOPLIN, MO. — The Seneca Indians were on the road to play against the Joplin Eagles on the diamond.

The last time these two teams met in a tournament earlier this season, the Indians fell to the Eagles 6-5.

Joplin’s Lily Glover hit this one hard and it passed Seneca’s Kordy Hancock, bringing two Eagles home, putting Joplin up 2-0 in the first inning.

Now the Indians up to bat, Seneca’s Josie Andrews got a good hit into right field and it was good for a single.

The Indians still up to bat, sophomore Jolie King swung one deep to left field, bringing in a Seneca runner, but Hancock tried to also make it home, but Joplin was able to get the ball home for the out.

In the bottom of the second, Joplin’s Gracie Williamson got a solid hit just fair of third base and it was good for a double.

On Joplin’s senior night the Eagles fell to the Seneca Indians 4-3.
