The Detroit Lions promised to use running backs Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery on the field together more in 2025.

And so far, the Lions have lived up to that promise, with Gibbs and Montgomery regularly seeing snaps together over the first two games of the season.

We saw that once again on Monday night against the Baltimore Ravens, although it came in the form of the Lions utilizing the infamous Maryland I formation.

The formation sees three players lined up or "stacked" right behind the quarterback and is perfect for deception and power running, two things the Lions love.

Talk about tough to defend.

Opposing defenses not only have to worry about the explosive Gibbs, but Montgomery's power running ability is another problem.

We love the creativity from new offensive coordinator John Morton and it's clear that didn't die with the departure of Ben Johnson.
