Hakim Ziyech could be on his way back to the Eredivisie, five years after leaving Ajax Amsterdam. But this time, he may be wearing the colors of their rivals, PSV Eindhoven.
Now a free agent after ending his stint in Qatar with Al-Duhail, the Moroccan international (64 caps, 25 goals) has yet to find his next destination.
He is reportedly on the radar of PSV Eindhoven, who are searching for a replacement for Ruben van Bommel, sidelined for the rest of the season after picking up an injury on Sunday against Ajax Amsterdam (2-2).
According to Dutch media, the Dronten native is open to a return to the Netherlands. He is waiting for a signal from PSV Eindhoven.
If negotiations are successful, the 32-year-old winger could take on an exciting new challenge with a club competing in the Champions League—much to the delight of Atlas Lions fans eager to see him in top form ahead of AFCON 2025.
That might not sit well with Ajax supporters, the club where he enjoyed the best days of his career (49 goals, 76 assists in 165 matches).
