Former Packers star cornerback Jaire Alexander is struggling to get on the field with his new team, the Baltimore Ravens.
Former Green Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander didn't play on "Monday Night Football" on Sept. 22, when the Detroit Lionstopped his Baltimore Ravens in a high-scoring battle, 38-30.
Alexander was ruled out before the game, on the inactives list for a second consecutive week.
Ravens reporter Luke Jones said Alexander was on the field for pregame warmups going through a workout and coach John Harbaugh has said Alexander would be playing "sooner rather than later,"

"He's champing at the bit for sure, and I just want to be fair to him and do the right thing.” #Ravens
Zero surprises among #Ravens inactives. Talked to Jaire Alexander late last week and he's still not where he needs to be physically https://t.co/3AgU46S1Br

Alexander played through a nagging knee injury in Week 1, and he wound up struggling at an inopportune time as the Buffalo Bills mounted a wild comeback to defeat the Ravens (1-2).
Alexander, who battled injury issues during the latter portion of his seven seasons with the Packers, wasn't available for chunks of the preseason with the Ravens, either, though it became evident in the final days before the opener that Alexander would be clear to play.
Alexander played in only 14 games over the past two seasons combined with the Packers. He would have been due $16.75 million, but Green Bay cut him in June and triggered $17 million in cap savings. He signed with the Ravens on a one-year deal worth as much as $6 million.
Without Alexander, the Ravens yielded 426 total yards to the Lions, including 202 passing.
