Pro Football Focus: Highest-graded New York Jets players on offense vs. the Buccaneers

The New York Jets' highest-graded offensive players in Week 3 according to Pro Football Focus.

The New York Jets were defeated 29-27 by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 3.

The offense did enough to win the contest, helping produce 27 points, but the defense faltered as the Bucs strung together a late game-winning drive.

Having analyzed Pro Football Focus' grades, these Jets players were their highest-graded performers on offense.

Here are PFF's five-best grades on offense for the Jets against the Buccaneers in Week 4:

5. Josh Myers | C | 65.4

Josh Myers allowed a season-high four pressures, but he hasn't allowed a sack this season. He was stellar, if unspectacular, against the Bucs. The matchup versus Vita Vea must be taken into consideration, indicating Myers' performance was above average given the difficulty level.

4. Braelon Allen | RB | 66.3

Braelon Allen rushed for 30 yards via six carries. His 5.0 yards per carry was significantly more effective than what Breece Hall produced, who rushed for 21 lackluster yards on nine carries, averaging 2.3 yards per attempt. Allen added 17 receiving yards to his offensive totals and should have been given more opportunities.

3. Garrett Wilson | WR | 70.4

Superstar wide receiver Garrett Wilson continues to be a workhorse and a lone threat offensively. Wilson produced 10 receptions for 84 receiving yards and a touchdown as Taylor consistently looked for his security blanket. He saw a season-high 12 targets, but had a season-low average depth of target (aDOT, 6.7 yards) as the Jets offense kept things closer to the line of scrimmage.

2. John Simpson | LG | 71.7

Fellow guard John Simpson also helped provide a clean interior pocket. Simpson was tagged with allowing two pressures and a sack. He was the Jets' best run blocker, earning a stellar 76.9 in that department.

1. Joe Tippmann | RG | 73.2

Joe Tippmann continues to be one of the Jets' most consistent players despite moving from center to guard due to the Alijah Vera-Tucker injury. He allowed just three pressures and zero sacks on Sunday against a stout Bucs defensive line. Tippmann did his part to help protect backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor.
