The Bills are rolling.

The Buffalo Bills have been as dominant as ever running the football through the first three weeks, with James Cook already notching two 100+ yard rushing games as Joe Brady's unit pounds the football for fun.

Additionally, the Bills average a whopping 163 rushing yards per game, easily the best in the NFL, with Buffalo's run game, in total, averaging 4.8 yards per carry. That'll work nicely. Last season, Buffalo averaged 136 yards per game, so while it is early, it looks to have improved dramatically.

For ESPN's Dan Orlovsky, he marvels at how good the Bills' rushing attack has looked this season.

“I think it's become one of the most creative run games in the NFL,” Orlovsky said on One Bills Live. “I would say that's the wrinkle this year. As good as their run game was last year, there was like go-to runs, there was like two of them. They've really diversified their run game. Shout out to Aaron Kromer, their offensive line coach, and I'm sure run game coordinator, along with Joe Brady.

"They've got a lot more runs that they can go to. I think that their diversity is the wrinkle this season."

Josh Allen big winner of stellar run game

With the run game proving to be difficult to stop, Buffalo has naturally leaned on it heavily in the last two weeks, which means Josh Allen doesn't have to do too much in the way of passing the football.

In the last two games, Allen hasn't had more than 28 pass attempts, and last season, he only did that five times, so he's on track not to be relied upon to get this team over the line to win football games.

Of course, there will be times that he has too, like in Week 1 against the Baltimore Ravens, but those sorts of games are becoming few and far between for the MVP, and that is a good thing for Buffalo.

Yes, it is only a small sample size, but the Bills' run game is shaping up to be one of the best in football, and any time you can have a quarterback like Allen play second fiddle, yeah, you're going places.
