Oklahoma's SEC opponents announced through 2029 season

The Oklahoma Sooners learned their SEC opponents for the next four years of conference play on Tuesday night.

The Oklahoma Sooners are in the midst of their second season in the Southeastern Conference, but on Tuesday night, the program learned which league foes it'll face in each of the next four seasons.

The SEC released their conference schedules for each team in 2026, 2027, 2028, and 2029 this week, as the league is moving to a nine-game conference schedule next year. While we don't have dates for the games yet, we know who each team will play over the next four years, as well as their three annual opponents.

For OU, their three permanent matchups will be against the Texas Longhorns, the Missouri Tigers, and the Ole Miss Rebels. Piecing together what we learned on Tuesday with the upcoming nonconference games the Sooners already have on the books, we now know all but one of OU's games over the next four seasons.

Here is who Oklahoma will play each year from 2026 to 2029.

2026

Oklahoma's road schedule next year will be brutal. Games away from home against Michigan, Florida, and Georgia will make for a tough slate for the Sooners. However, this schedule is more balanced than in 2024 or in 2025, with games against Kentucky and Mississippi State on the docket. Aside from the three annual opponents, the Sooners will also see South Carolina again in 2026.

2027

Oklahoma Sooners linebacker Kip Lewis (10) returns an interception for a touchdown in front of Alabama Crimson Tide tight end Robbie Ouzts (45) and quarterback Jalen Milroe (4) during a college football game between the University of Oklahoma Sooners (OU) and the Alabama Crimson Tide at Gaylord Family - Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman, Okla., Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024. Oklahoma won 24-3.

In 2027, the Sooners have more difficult road tests, with SMU, Ole Miss, Auburn, and LSU on the schedule. Games against Arkansas and Vanderbilt will cap Oklahoma's round-robin of facing each SEC school at least once, and the Sooners host big games against Alabama and Tennessee in two seasons, just like they did last year.

In a repeat of the 2026 conference schedule with the venues flipped, the Sooners get another road nonconference Power Four game (at Houston). Still, the biggest conference road game will come against Texas A&M. The Sooners will also welcome Florida and Georgia to Norman for the first time as SEC members in 2028.

A trip to Arkansas and a home game against Vanderbilt will wrap up Oklahoma's six-year journey of hosting every SEC program and traveling to every SEC venue. It's the same schedule as 2027 with the locations swapped, meaning the Sooners host Auburn and LSU, but must visit Ole Miss, Alabama, and Tennessee, just like this year. With a home nonconference game against Nebraska also on the docket, the Sooners will visit the Cornhuskers in 2030. Oklahoma also has a home-and-home nonconference series scheduled with Clemson in 2035 (in Clemson) and 2036 (in Norman).

With the 2029 season being as far away as it is, the Sooners still need to schedule their third nonconference matchup. It'll likely be a home game, especially with a strange road game against San Diego State as part of the slate that season. The Sooners and the Aztecs are scheduled to meet again in Norman in 2031, and Oklahoma also has home games against Tulsa scheduled for 2030 and 2033.
