WEBB CITY, MO — The Webb City Cardinals played host to the Kickapoo Chiefs after coming off of a road win over Branson last Friday.
The hosts trailed 7-0 to start off the first set, while junior Jocelyn Maxwell opened up the scoring for the Cardinals with a block on the far side of the net.
Keeping the offensive momentum going down the stretch was Allison Collard with an ace for Webb City’s fifth straight point.
Marlee Harper followed up Collard’s ace with a kill off of a set from Savannah Crane.
The Cardinals continued to battle in each set, but fell short as Kickapoo completed the 3-0 sweep.
Webb City falls to 7-6 on their season and will look to bounce back at home Thursday, September 25tht 7:00 p.m. versus Republic.
