Florida State added to its 2026 class on Tuesday with defensive lineman Judah Daniels committing to FSU:

Judah Daniels is a 6’3, 265 pound interior defensive lineman who previously played along the offensive line prior to this season. He plays for Fort Myers and has yet to be ranked.

After a strong camp showing this summer, Daniels was given advice by Knighton to try DL and has so far taken nicely to the position change. In two games this season, he’s tallied 14 tackles (8 for loss) and five sacks, per MaxPreps.

He profiles along the interior defensive line and will need a season or two of development before becoming a contributor. Norvell and company will hope that they’ve unearthed an overlooked and under-recruited talent.

Florida State men’s basketball kicked off the countdown to its season opener on Tuesday with its first official preseason practice:

In the six months since Luke Loucks took the reins in Tallahassee, the program already looks and feels quite different compared to the last few years. Whether these changes will result in a return to the lofty levels enjoyed by the Seminoles during Loucks’ playing days (i.e. ACC Championship level) remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: Loucks has a clear vision for this program and he’s aggressively pursuing that vision.
