FPL Scout: Gameweek 6 hints, tips and advice

Brentford have teamed up with Fantasy Football Scout to help bring you hints, tips and advice during the 2025/26 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) season.

Scout will be using their expertise to provide info, advice and Gameweek tips which may prove useful in ensuring you sit on top of your mini-leagues.

Best of the Bees

There were some good learning points for FPL managers last weekend.

Mikkel Damsgaard (£5.9m) scored Brentford’s goal, with the midfielder also picking up a bonus point in the west London derby.

Damsgaard has been Brentford’s most creative player this season, having created five chances. He has also supplied 27 crosses, which is also team-leading and 16 more than any other Bee. 13 of these crosses came against Fulham in Gameweek 5.

Dango Ouattara (£6.0m) was unlucky not to return on Saturday. The midfielder had two attempts on goal and his three penalty area touches were only bettered by Kevin Schade (£7.0m) in Saturday's fixture.

The Spotlight

In Gameweek 6, Brentford face Manchester United as Bryan Mbeumo (£8.1m) returns to the club for the first time since his move this summer.

United have struggled down their left-hand side defensively this season, meaning that the likes of Michael Kayode (£4.5) and Ouattara should benefit. United have conceded 42 crosses down their left, compared to 28 on the right flank. They have also conceded five more key passes down that side (14 v 9).

Kayode has registered four created chances for Brentford this season, which might mean that he is the one to unlock a United defence without a clean sheet this season.

Best of the Rest

Liverpool’s Ryan Gravenberch (£5.5m) and Leeds’ Anton Stach (£5.0m) were the highest-scoring assets in Gameweek 5. Both players registered 15 points for their owners. Both players’ points came from a goal, an assist and two defensive contribution points, as well as all three bonus points.

Fulham’s Alex Iwobi (£6.5m) was the next best performance of the week, with the midfielder picking up 13 points.

Harry Maguire (£4.4m) and Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£5.5m) also had successful weeks, registering 11 points apiece. Maguire registered an assist and picked up two bonus points. He was also substituted before Chelsea’s goal, meaning the United defender also picked up all four clean sheet points.

Calvert-Lewin, on the other hand, scored his first goal in the Premier League for Leeds and returned and an assist and two bonus points.

In Demand

Unsurprisingly, Erling Haaland (£14.3m) is the most transferred-in player ahead of Gameweek 6. Haaland has returned in four of the opening five gameweeks of the season and is the highest-scoring FPL asset in the game.

The forward faces Burnley, who have the highest expected goals conceded (xGC) rate in the league. The newly-promoted side have been expected to concede 10.46 goals this season, almost two more than the next highest, Aston Villa.

Antoine Semenyo (£7.7m) was the most transferred-in player for Gameweek 5 and is now the second most popular ahead of Gameweek 6. Semenyo has now risen by £0.7m since the start of the season. £0.4m more than any other player.

Semenyo’s team-mate Marcos Senesi (£4.7m) is the next most popular pick for Gameweek 6. Senesi registered nine points in Gameweek 5 as he registered a clean sheet and a bonus point. The defender also returned two defensive contribution points; he has done this in every match so far this season.

Captaincy

Haalandlooks set to be the best captaincy option this week. He is in good form with six attacking returns this season, more than any other player in the game. City, as mentioned above, face Burnley.

Mohammed Kudus (£6.6m) could be a decent differential captain for managers. The Spurs midfielder has created 11 chances for his Spurs team-mates this season, more than any other Spurs player.

His four assists are also tied top with Jack Grealish (£6.7m) across all players in the game.
