LAWRENCE (KSNT) – Caroline Castans has been named the Big 12 Defender of the Week, following the Jayhawks 1-0 win over Oklahoma State on Thursday.
This is Castans’ second Big 12 weekly honor, having received the same award in October of 2024.
Castans scored the sole goal in last the Sept. 18 Big 12 opening-win for Kansas. She leads the ‘Hawks in assists with five, which ties for third in the Big 12. The junior also has the second-most points on the team with nine.
No. 14 Kansas (7-0-2) will host Baylor (5-1-2) at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 25 from Rock Chalk Park.
