Keep an eye on these things in Week 4 between the Bills and Saints.
The Buffalo Bills have started their 2025 NFL season. Their next outing rounding out the first quarter of the year is against the New Orleans Saints at Highmark Stadium in Week 4.
All week, topics and storylines have been discussed ahead of this battle between these cross-conference foes. In the end, regardless of what is said by players, coaches, media outlets and fans, it always comes down to what unfolds on the field in the NFL.
And once the battle arrives, there will be a few particular things to keep in mind to look out for.
With that, here are five things to watch for during the Bills (3-0) versus Saints (0-3) in Week 4:
Be ready
It sounds simple, but the Bills have two factors that could potentially work against them here.
First, this will be labeled a "trap" game. Buffalo is good, New Orleans... is not. The Saints still should not be overlooked.
In addition, the Bills do have extra time on their hands as they last played on Thursday in Week 3. The Saints are coming off a Sunday game.
Buffalo needs to remain sharp... and if the Bills do so out of the gate? That could be a nightmare for the Saints.
Saints' rushing attack
While the Saints offense is lackluster, if running back Alvin Kamara gets space, look out.
Kamara is only averaging 3.7 yards per carry in 2025, but he reminds one of Derrick Henry... who routinely does damage against the Bills.
Can the Bills shut Kamara out of this game?
Can pass rush wake up?
The Bills only have six sacks this season. That's well in the second half of the NFL. Buffalo was silent in this category last week against the Miami Dolphins.
The Saints have some injuries on their offensive line and Pro Football Focus ranked New Orleans' offensive line as just the 23rd best in the NFL heading into Week 3.
Get that mojo back, Buffalo. The Bills' pass rush broke out with Joey Bosa in Week 2.
What is Rattler?
Spencer Rattler is leading the Saints under center in 2025... and is still looking for his first-career win. He is 0-9 overall in his career with three of those losses coming this season.
Despite that, Rattler, a second-year pro and 2024 fifth-round pick, has flashed. New Orleans was blown out in Week 3 but had looks at winning in their first two games late on.
What is he? It remains to be seen... just like how the Bills' secondary fares against him.
Could Josh Allen have a huge day?
It simply could just be a good day to be Bills quarterback Josh Allen.
The Saints are tied for allowing the second-most passing touchdowns this season (7) and are sixth-worst in opposing QB completion percentage (70.8).
Allen could pad the stats in Week 4.
