It is no secret that Alabama's Week 5 opponent, the Georgia Bulldogs, are one of the most talented overall teams in college football.
Currently ranked as the nation's No. 3 overall team in the latest US LBM Coaches Poll, Georgia is off to an unbeaten 3-0 start to the 2025 season, which also includes a 1-0 mark in SEC play.
The Bulldogs also come into this game as a tested team having already opened SEC play, doing so prior to their bye week on the road at Tennessee in which Georgia came away with a thrilling 44-41 victory.
Simply put, the Bulldogs have an extensive amount of talent and depth at all positions on both sides of the ball that could very easily mimic that of Alabama, making Georgia one of the most dangerous teams' on Alabama's schedule overall.
Here are five Bulldogs to know in particular entering Saturday's matchup in Athens between Alabama and Georgia, as well as how each has performed against the Crimson Tide previously.
Gunner Stockton, Quarterback, Redshirt Junior
The starting quarterback for the Georgia Bulldogs is redshirt junior Gunner Stockton, who is currently in his first full-time season as the program's starter at the position. Having never played against Alabama, Stockton, a name who is currently among the Heisman Trophy candidates, has certainly been impressive for the Bulldogs across three games this season, completing 70.8% of passes for 721 yards and a 4:0 TD:INT ratio, while also rushing for 124 yards and three touchdowns on 28 attempts.
Raylen Wilson, Inside Linebacker, Junior
Georgia has two junior inside linebackers who are both among the best in the SEC at the position, the first of which you should know is Wilson. Wilson, who has a combined four tackles against Alabama across the last two seasons, is Georgia's leading tackler so far this season with 23 total, with the junior also having three TFL and one sack this fall.
CJ Allen, Inside Linebacker, Junior
The second of those two aforementioned junior inside linebackers that Alabama needs to know entering Saturday is Allen. Across the past two seasons, Allen has a combined eight tackles against Alabama, and enters this matchup as one of Georgia's top tacklers, ranking second on the team with 22 total, while also having posted two TFL, one sack, and one pass defense.
Zachariah Branch, Wide Receiver, Junior
A team loaded with talented pass catchers, arguably the biggest name to know entering Saturday is Branch, a wide receiver who transferred during the offseason from USC. Having never faced Alabama before, Branch is Georgia's leading receiver this season having hauled in 11 receptions for 181 yards and two touchdowns, and is also one of the main names on special teams as the Bulldogs primary returner, both on kickoffs and punts.
Nate Frazier, Running Back, Sophomore
Concluding on the offensive side of the ball, Frazier is the Bulldogs leading rusher this season having racked up 189 yards and two touchdowns on 39 attempts this season. Frazier has also hauled in two receptions for 15 yards across three games, and did not play a year ago against Alabama.
