Morning, all!

Wyatt Langford’s season is over with the Rangers sending him to the IL over a nagging oblique injury that has been bothering him for a good portion of the season.

Marcus Semien has also progressed from the “it’s just a little airborne” stage of grief and has conceded that he won’t be returning from a fractured foot for the last week of a doomed season.

Chris Young says that “winning players finish strong,” which I guess should make us wonder what kind of players both start and finish weak as a kitten.

David Davalillo, a 23 year old prospect that split the season between High A and Frisco, was anointed the Rangers’ minor league pitcher of the year prior to last night’s game.

Billy McKinney was the unlikely hero in last night’s streak-ending win after getting called up to replace Wyatt Langford five days after his AAA season ended.

Jacob deGrom made his 30th start of the season last night, throwing five innings of one run ball, capping off a comeback season in which he pitched more innings than he had in six years.

deGrom’s turned in a great season, finishing at a 2.97 ERA and a sub 1.00 WHIP.
