A look at the all-time history between the Los Angeles Chargers and New York Giants.
Chargers vs. Giants Series History: The curse of Eli Manning lives on originally appeared on The Sporting News
The Los Angeles Chargers (3-0) will take on the New York Giants (0-3) in Week 4 in a battle of one of the six undefeated teams remaining and one of the six winless teams remaining.
Though the Chargers and Giants are on opposite coasts and play in different conferences, they are tied together forever for the infamous 2004 NFL Draft. That year, the Chargers selected Eli Manning with the No. 1 overall pick despite his requests to play elsewhere. The Chargers ended up trading him to the team that selected No. 4 that year, the Giants, who had selected North Carolina State quarterback Philip Rivers.
The rest, as they say, is history.
Manning went on to win two Super Bowls for the Giants but one thing he never did was beat the team he refused to play for, the Chargers. In fact, since that decision was made by Manning, the Giants have not beaten the Chargers.
This will be just the 14th meeting between these teams and it's the Chargers who hold an 8-5 edge in the all-time series. The last time the Giants beat the Chargers came back on September 27, 1998, which will be nearly 27 years to the date of this game.

Ryan Leaf was the quarterback for the Chargers in that game, which was played at Qualcomm Stadium. Since then, the Chargers have dominated the series, pleasing fans who still hold plenty of ill will towards Peyton Manning's little brother to this day.
This game will feature the first NFL start for Giants first-round pick Jaxson Dart, so these teams could be connected to more quarterback history.
Kickoff for this game is scheduled for 10:00 am Pacific time. Kevin Harlan and Trent Green will have the call as the game will be televised on CBS.
