Chelsea’s owners have been forced to come out and issue an official statement after fans have decided to go on strike.

It’s not often you will hear about a fanbase going on strike, it’s usually something you associate with a work force not being happy with their conditions.

EXCLUSIVE! Cole Palmer now has NEW injury and will be out for a set time!

Well, Strasbourg fans are not happy with their conditions, and they are paying to support their side rather than being paid to do a job. Either way, apparently they have gone on strike until further notice.

That’s according to L’Equipe, who say the situation at Strasbourg is not improving following recent protests.

Many of the Strasbourg fans have been unhappy with their owners, BlueCo, who are the owners of Chelsea as well, since they first took over at the club. It’s turned really toxic there over the last couple of seasons.

Chelsea and Strasbourg owners, BlueCo, have now been forced to issue an official statement.

As picked up in the same publication, the statement reads:

“Our objective is clear. To provide Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace with everything it needs in terms of investment, infrastructure and personnel. To compete at the highest level and regularly qualify for European competitions in the years to come,” they added.

“Racing is currently participating in a European cup (the Conference League). Our collective ambition is for the club to continue to be among the best in Ligue 1 and to participate in European competitions every year.”

“To all those who have given us their support and welcomed us, we are grateful and will not take your support for granted. We will continue to work hard to ensure that the club is a source of pride for us all.”
