Liverpool owners ready to invest in La Liga
The American group Fenway Sports Group, owners of Liverpool since 2010, are now turning their attention to Spain. They are looking to invest in a La Liga club.
According to the Daily Mail, FSG is on the verge of acquiring Getafe, currently competing in La Liga. Already the owners of Liverpool, the Boston Red Sox in baseball, and the Pittsburgh Penguins in the NHL, FSG would further strengthen its presence in football by becoming a multi-club operator, following the example of City Football Group or BlueCo.
