As part of OneFootball's collaboration series with Shoot Music we're interviewing an artist every week about their love of football.
This week it's West Ham fan and member of Good Neighbours, Oli Fox.
When did you start supporting West Ham and why?
I’m a lifelong fan! My family are all East Ham born and bred so it’s the only way we know.
How would you rate Graham Potter's time in charge?
It’s been a weird one, it’s hard to tell whether the trouble is being caused by the board or the manager. He did a lot for Brighton when he was backed properly so I hope something can change soon.
On a scale of 1-10, how much do you miss Upton Park?
10. Most fans would agree it’s one of the worst things that happened to the club. It was more than a stadium to us. It was the reason we were hard to beat when teams travelled to east London, the fans were the 12th man and sadly that’s been hard to replicate in the new stadium.
It's been all doom and gloom so far: can you give us one positive about West Ham for the season ahead?
I think we’ve discovered a diamond in Diouf and hope he can go on to be a bit of a cult hero for us. We’ve needed athleticism and crossing since Cresswell’s heyday and I think we’ve finally found it.
Can you tell us about your new record Blue Sky Mentality?
Of course! Blue Sky Mentality is the debut album from us and it’s a big optimistic indie collection of songs. We want it to open the conversation of mental health in an optimistic way.
Good Neighbours debut album, 'Blue Sky Mentality', is out now via Polydor Records.
