High School Roundup: Scores and recaps from Friday's games around Rhode Island

🏑FIELD HOCKEY - Division I

Moses Brown 7, East Greenwich 0

The Quakers dominated this contest from the beginning and built a 3-0 lead by halftime. Goaltender Peyton Reigel preserved the shutout with 2 saves.

Paige Moreau led the scoring barrage with 3 goals, while Madelyn Peterson added 2 tallies. Maeve Rolston and Maeve Stilley finished with a goal apiece. Assists were delivered by Rolston, Moreau, Amelia Karam and Lila Stilley.

For East Greenwich, Emma Guckian had 7 saves in goal and Olivia Kirinsky stopped 4 shots.

Wheeler 1, Lincoln 0

Violet Abaden's goal at 3:55 of the second quarter would be the only score of the game as Wheeler blanked Lincoln School. Lynx netminder Claire Kiley made that goal stand up as she recorded 5 saves in the win.

Cranston Co-op 3, Pilgrim 0

Goals by Reece Vitale, Ashley Budano and Abby Theul paved the way for the Thunderbird's shutout of the Patriots. Vitale also picked up an assist in the win, as did Grace Schulze.

⚽GIRLS SOCCER - Division III

Narragansett 3, Central 0

The Mariners’ Cassidy O’Neill scored 2 of the team’s goals, with assists by Delaney Bonneau and Jackie Salvadore. Bonneau also assisted on the score by Payton AbramsAbby Zelenak made 2 saves in goal to preserve the shutout for Narragansett.  

East Providence 3, Toll Gate 0

The Townies capitalized on goals by Eva Fontaine (2) and Victoria Capelo (1), as well as the flawless goaltending of Sadie Gagnon, who recorded 5 saves, and went on to blank the Titans. Brooke Richer had 13 saves for TG in the loss.

🏐GIRLS VOLLEYBALL - Division I

Coventry 3, La Salle 2

Emily Spadoni posted 12 kills and 8 digs and Saige Hodges was good for 7 kills and 10 digs as the Oakers slipped past the Rams.

La Salle's Erin Tierney also had a big night in the loss as she recorded 12 kills and teammates Sofia Benevides and Adrian Brzoza each had 7 kills.

North Kingstown 3, East Greenwich 0

Regina Lizzi recorded 25 service points and teammate Maggie Scott was good for 6 kills and 4 blocks in the Skippers sweep (25-15, 25-19, 25-7) of the Avengers.

For the Avengers, Addison Fain had six kills and 2 blocks and Sasha Lattenist recorded 3 kills and 3 assists in ther loss.

Exeter-West Greenwich at North Providence, 6:30 p.m.

🏐GIRLS VOLLEYBALL - Division III

Tolman 3, Central 0

The Tigers got contributions from a number of players in this shutout (25-16, 25-13, 25-17) on their home court, including Mariana Gonzalez, who had 10 digs, an ace and 2 assists; Gabriela Alvarez, who had 2 kills, 2 aces and 18 assists; Jasleen Freitas, who finished with 16 digs, 5 kills and an ace; and Elizabeth Akyereko, who had 7 kills and a block.
