AS Monaco have a chance to go (temporarily) top of the table tonight when they travel north to the Stade du Moustoir to face newly promoted FC Lorient. Monaco come into this match off the back of a 5-2 victory against FC Metz, but will have one eye fixed on their upcoming clash with Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League.

Adi Hütter will be without several key players, with Lamine Camara, Denis Zakaria, and goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky all out injured, while Maghnes Akliouche has been ruled out due to sickness. Paul Pogba’s return to football is still being managed, and the midfielder has not yet been included in a matchday squad.

Ansu Fati was the start of Monaco’s win over Metz, registering a brace for his new club following a loan from FC Barcelona. The forward will look to lead the line again, lining up alongside former Arsenal man Folarin Balogun.

Monaco likely lineup v Lorient

Philipp Köhn; Christian Mawissa, Thilo Kehrer, Eric Dier; Caio Henrique, Mamadou Coulibaly, Jordan Teze, Vanderson; Takumi Minamino; Folarin Balogun, Ansu Fati. (L’Éq)
