Minnesota reunites with the Greek Meek. An O/U over 50 because Rutgers showed a pulse against Iowa. I’m unconvinced—Ol’ PJ “Sit on the Ball” Fleck, RTBSUMGG, will make sure this game is over by 2pm.
(1) Ohio State Buckeyes @ Washington Huskies
2:30PM | CBS / Paramount+ | OSU -10.5 | O/U 52.5
Rooting for these two to just blow right by that 52.5 O/U. C’mon, Jeremiah Smith and Demond Williams. Put on a damn show. First to 40 wins. Do it.
(11) Indiana Hoosiers @ Iowa Hawkeyes
2:30PM | Peacock | Indiana -7.5 | O/U 50.5
In any other season, we’d look at a ranked but non-elite team, flying high, heading into Kinnick, and say “Well, it’s been fun, but there’s Iowa, waiting with a tire iron and a sock full of nickels.”
Damn if we don’t feel differently about Indiana, for some reason.
UCLA Bruins @ Northwestern Wildcats
2:30PM | BTN | Northwestern -6.5 | O/U 46
Northwestern’s last best shot at a Big Ten conference win for the season, and that’s with Purdue still on the schedule. A full touchdown favorite. New Mexico having provided the blueprint for how an underskilled team can beat the Bruins.
I fully expect Preston Stone to throw the ball 50 times in this one for no good reason.
(6) Oregon Ducks @ (3) Penn State Nittany Lions
6:30PM | NBC / Peacock | Penn State -3.5 | O/U 52.5
