Indiana football injury updates: 1 Hoosier listed questionable against Iowa

Hoosier cornerback D’Angelo Ponds was listed as questionable ahead of the game against the Hawkeyes.

The Big Ten’s availability report ahead of Indiana football’s clash went Iowa went live with a handful of notable updates on the Hoosiers’ end.

Sophomore cornerback D’Angelo Ponds was listed as questionable for the first time this week. He could ultimately still suit up and play, so it’s worth keeping an eye on the Hoosiers’ warmups ahead of the game. Ponds was integral in Indiana’s dominant 63-10 win over Illinois last week, blocking a punt and returning it for a touchdown and largely holding up well in coverage throughout the night.

Freshman defensive back Byron Baldwin Jr. remains out. He has yet to take the field for the Hoosiers this season after performing well in fall camp. Redshirt defensive back Bryson Bonds and redshirt junior running back Lee Beebe Jr. are both out for the duration of the 2025 season and are listed as such on the report.

Five Hawkeyes were listed as out: wide receivers Jarriet Buie and Reece Vander Zee, defensive back Shahid Barros and running backs Xavier Williams and Jaziun Patterson. Williams and Patterson are the Hawkeyes’ leaders on the ground this season, both are substantial losses for Iowa.
