Brando Pericic brutally beat down Elisha Ellison at UFC Perth
Brando Pericic just made one heck of a UFC debut.
On Saturday, Pericic took on Elisha Ellison in a prelim heavyweight bout at UFC Perth. It was a matchup that was originally slated to take place on Contender Series but the powers that be decided to move it to the UFC Perth card instead, and Pericic made the most of the opportunity, brutalizing Ellison en route to a first-round stoppage.
Pericic hurt Ellison with a right hand early in the bout. Ellison did his best to survive but Pericic kept pouring the punishment on, eventually getting on top and putting Ellison out cold with vicious ground shots, giving the Australian crowd something to cheer for.
Ellison was down for several minutes after the stoppage but was ultimately helped to the back by his team.
A City Kickboxing product, this was Pericic’s third consecutive first-round stoppage, and he moves to 5-1 in his MMA career.
