UFC Hall of Famer and MMA legend Wanderlei Silva, 49, suffered a brutal knockout after an exhibition boxing match devolved into chaos on Saturday night in Brazil.

Originally set to collide with fellow UFC Hall of Famer Vitor Belfort, Silva stayed put in their exhibition boxing match on the Spaten Fight League event in his home country. Stepping in to replace Belfort was former boxing champin Acelino Freitas (41-2).

The match ended in bizarre fashion and was mired in controversy after Silva was disqualified in Round 4 for a repeated series of head-butts. The scene quickly dissolved in the immediate aftermath, as a brawl ensued, resulting in Silva catching a stray punch that knocked him unconscious in brutal fashion.
