Dominick Reyes vs. Carlos Ulberg squared off in a Light Heavyweight contest earlier tonight (Sat. Sept. 27, 2025) live on ESPN+ inside RAC Arena in Perth, Australia at UFC Perth.
An exchange of low kicks began the main event bout. Both men feinted and tried to draw the other forward, but neither was willing to take chances early on. Ulberg found his range first, sticking Reyes with a couple hard jabs at about the midway point in the round. Before long, Ulberg took a couple right hands to the body. Reyes couldn’t land any of his punches, and with less than a minute remaining, finally committing to moving forward behind his hands.
It proved to be a fatal mistake. Ulberg slid off at an angle and BLASTED Reyes with two counter punches, a left hook and right hand. Reyes hit the floor, and one more follow up shot was enough to send him to sleep.
This was a picture-perfect victory from Ulberg! He needed a statement win, and a first-round knockout over a former title challenger is certainly that. Now riding a nine-fight win streak with a handful of incredible KOs in the mix, “Black Jag” would appear to be ready for a UFC title shot.
