Chelsea are apparently now in hot water after Moises Caicedo was seen fighting in a furious fit of rage yesterday.

Those are the words from The Sun this weekend at least in the aftermath of Chelsea’s 3-1 defeat against Brighton yesterday afternoon.

Tensions were everywhere yesterday after Trevoh Chalobah got himself sent off for Chelsea in front of the home fans. And now we are already hearing about the pressure growing on Blues boss Enzo Maresca after this defeat.

Caicedo was obviously going to have more emotions attached to this game than others because he used to play for Brighton and would have really wanted to beat them.

Chelsea could now land in hot water with the FA after a brawl ensued in which Moises Caicedo appeared to strike Van Hecke in a furious fit of rage, according to the report from The Sun.

Caicedo confronted Yakuba Minteh late on, who was swiftly pulled away by Robert Sanchez, before turning his attention to Van Hecke.

Not smart

You often see this Chelsea side losing their cool when they are losing or things are not going their way. We have seen it many times before. I’m not saying that Caicedo was necessarily spitting his dummy here, and you don’t know what was said to him for him to lose his cool like that. But you do often see this kind of inexperience from this young Chelsea squad and it’s just not smart.

We will have to wait and see now whether the midfielder does land himself in trouble with the FA off the back of the footage that has emerged of this incident.
