The Los Angeles Rams just received Davante Adams' playing status for Sunday.
Davante Adams injury update: ESPN's Adam Schefter reveals final designation vs. Colts originally appeared on The Sporting News
The Los Angeles Rams suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Philadelphia Eagles just a week ago. Now, they’re looking to bounce back against the undefeated Indianapolis Colts. One lingering question throughout the week has been the availability of star wide receiver Davante Adams.
“Rams wide receiver Davante Adams will return to practice on Friday after missing the previous two practices with a sore hamstring, head coach Sean McVay said. Adams will be a limited participant in practice and will be listed as questionable on the injury report, but McVay said he feels ‘good’ about his game status for Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts,” ESPN’s Sarah Barshop wrote.
Despite the missed practices, McVay made it clear that there may not be any formal restrictions when it comes to Adams’ snap count.
“I don't know about that,” said McVay about putting Adams on a snap count. “You might monitor some things, but if I told him that, I think he would say, ‘Nah, I'm not doing that.' He's in good spirits. He's been engaged in the walkthroughs. He's doing everything that he can to be physically and mentally ready to go, and that's why he's a total stud. I'm excited about that.”
Heading into Sunday, Adams was officially listed as questionable—understandably so, given the hamstring issue. But late Saturday night, ESPN’s Adam Schefter gave a promising update on his status.
“Rams WR Davante Adams, listed as questionable for Sunday due to a hamstring injury, is expected to play vs. the Colts, per source,” Schefter posted.

With Adams expected to suit up, the Rams’ passing game gets a major boost. His presence will take defensive attention off rookie standout Puka Nacua. And knowing Adams’ toughness, he may not accept a limited role, even if suggested.
The Rams are desperate to avoid back-to-back losses, and with Adams on the field, expect him to play with intensity and urgency—there’s no doubt about that.
