The Washington Commanders have been plagued by key injuries on the offensive side of the ball going into their Week 4 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.
Along with losing both quarterback Jayden Daniels and wide receiver Terry McLaurin, running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt is uncertain to play.
Croskey-Merritt landed on the injury report for the first time this season and did not take part in practice on Wednesday or Thursday before turning in a full session on Friday.
Here's the latest update on Bill's status for Sunday.
Is Jacory Croskey-Merritt playing today?
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Croskey-Merritt is indeed expected to suit up against the Falcons despite his questionable tag.
"Commanders rookie RB Jacory Croskey-Merritt, listed as questionable for Sunday due to a knee injury, is expected to play vs. the Falcons, per source," Schefter wrote.
The fact that Bill was able to log a full practice on Friday was a strong hint that he would play, but it's nice to have confirmation from Schefter.
Jacory Croskey-Merritt start or sit advice
In the wake of Austin Ekeler's season-ending injury, we thought JCM would begin to get more touches. Instead, he only saw nine in Week 3, his second-lowest touch total of the season.
Making matters worse, Croskey-Merritt only gained 26 yards on the ground, although he did find the end zone for the second time in 2025.
JCM draws a tough matchup against a Falcons defense ceding the sixth-fewest fantasy points per game to running backs.
Ranking as RB32 overall after three games, and with the tough matchup, it's hard to trust the rookie in lineups this week until we see a more consistent and bigger workload for him.
Verdict: Sit
