Washington Commanders vs Atlanta Falcons 2nd Quarter

Washington Commanders visit the Atlanta Falcons

The Washington Commanders are visiting the Atlanta Falcons, and they’re looking for their second win in a row. They dominated the Las Vegas Raiders last week with Marcus Mariota under center, and he’ll get to face another one of his former teams today. Jayden Daniels will miss his second game with a knee sprain, and he’ll be joined in the press box with Terry McLaurin who suffered a quad injury last week. The offense will also be missing TE John Bates and WR Noah Brown who are out for a second week with groin injuries.

The Atlanta Falcons are 1-2 and coming off a 30-0 loss to the Carolina Panthers. They benched their franchise QB Michael Penix Jr for former Redskins QB Kirk Cousins, but neither of them could put any points on the board against the then-winless Panthers. Penix gets the start again today, and the team said there was no consideration to go to Cousins, but that doesn’t mean we won’t see him on the field today.
