The San Francisco 49ers didn't have the kind of day they were hoping for.
At home against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the 'Niners were favored.
But the day ended with the Jags taking the long flight home as victors to improve to 3-1.
Meanwhile, the 49ers had good news at the quarterback position, but it didn't pay dividends.

Did Brock Purdy play today?
Yes, Brock Purdy suited up for the San Francisco 49ers in Week 4 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
It was Purdy's first action since Week 1.
Purdy had a decent statistical game, too.
He completed 22-of-38 passes for 309 yards and two touchdowns.
The problem was Purdy's two interceptions were part of the package.
Purdy threw to Christian McCaffrey the most (6-92-1). Jake Tonges added 3-58-1. Rickey Pearsall was the top WR with four for 46.
The 49ers fell to 3-1, so not all is lost. And they've got Purdy back, which is a huge deal.
Things should turn back upward soon enough for the 'Niners and their franchise QB.
