Parris: How often does she score against her former clubs?

We are four games into the 2025/26 season and remarkably Nikita Parris has played only against her former teams. Twice she has struck against those former teams in what seems like a regular habit for the forward.

Naturally, it helps that Parris has played for half of the current WSL, starting her career with Everton, before switching to Manchester City. After two seasons in France with Lyon, now OL Lyonnes, Parris spent a year with Arsenal before moving on to Manchester City, Brighton & Hove Albion, and most recently, London City Lionesses.

Everton

The Merseyside native has often come back to haunt the Toffees, especially with her next club City – she scored in every single game for the Citizens against Everton with a record of six goals in five games.

Although she didn't net against Everton with Arsenal, she managed another six for Manchester United against Everton in five fixtures and scored once for Brighton in two games.

Everton escaped the typical Parris goal against London City Lionesses earlier this season, although the 31-year-old did make an assist in a 2-1 win for the newly-promoted side.

Total record against Everton since leaving: 13 goals in 15 games

Manchester City

One team who has managed to fare better than Everton is City. Parris has played for four English teams since her five-season spell with the blue half of Manchester.

With Arsenal, Parris didn't manage to find the net. She managed just one goal – a late League Cup group stage consolation strike – for Manchester United and in five games. She drew a blank for Brighton against City but did score the weekend for London City in a losing effort.

In fact, Parris has had a difficult time for her various clubs against City in recent seasons, having been on the losing six in her last six games.

Total record against Man City since leaving: 2 goals in 10 games

Arsenal

So far, there has been only one team that Parris has played as a former player and not scored against: Arsenal.

Parris has four attempts with United, three with Brighton, and once with London City on the opening day of the current season, but she has yet to find the net in any of those.

A potential cup clash or the home leg against the Gunners is the only chance Parris will get to add Arsenal to her hit list.

Total record against Arsenal since leaving: 0 goals in 8 games

Manchester United

Despite only leaving the Red Devils in the summer of 2024, Parris has already got into the habit of scoring against them. The forward scored the equaliser in a 1-1 draw for Brighton just months after leaving the club.

Then earlier this season, Parris headed past Phallon Tullis-Joyce in London City's 5-1 defeat, which is so far the only league goal Marc Skinner's side have conceded this season.

It's still early days, but 'Keets' seems to particularly enjoy playing against United.

Total record against Man Utd since leaving: 2 goals in 3 games

Finally, Brighton will have to wait. London City Lionesses don't play the Seagulls until a home game in December.

The south coast side will be hoping that they manage to contain Parris like Arsenal do instead of ending up like Everton.
