Washington is coming off their own loss to the Atlanta Falcons in a tight 30-27 final. The Commanders were without starting quarterback Jayden Daniels for a second consecutive game, but it looks like he is expected to make his return against the Chargers this week, per multiple reports.
If that ends up being the case, the Chargers will have another young and athletic quarterback to worry about just one week after struggling to handle scrambles from Giants rookie Jaxson Dart.
One interesting headline that never made it to Week Five was the chance for an Austin Ekeler revenge game against his former team. Ekeler went down with a non-contact injury several weeks ago and will miss the remainder of the season. He’ll still be on the sideline cheering on his team, but the vibes just won’t be the same.
What do you all think of the opening odds for Week Five? Should the Chargers be favored given the state of their roster? Is Washington that much worse than year than in 2024? Let us know all of your thoughts below!
