Two boxing legends will go head-to-head as Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather Jr. are set to square off. Here's what to know.
Earlier this month, boxing legends Mike Tyson, 59, and Floyd Mayweather Jr., 48, agreed to an exhibition match, pitting two of the sport's all-time greats against one another.
Tyson's last fight, a unanimous decision loss to Jake Paul, in what was the most-streamed sporting event in history, came after the former heavyweight champ had been out of the professional ring for nearly two decades. However, after the fight, Tyson seemed hungry for more action, even telling ESPN that he was interested in taking on another fight if the opportunity presented itself. Well, that opportunity has come.
"I still can't believe Floyd wants to really do this," said Tyson. "It's going to be detrimental to his health, but he wants to do it, so it's signed and it's happening!"

When is the fight?
The fight does not have an official date or venue yet, though it appears the fight is scheduled for spring 2026. In fact, many details on the match have yet to be determined. The number of rounds, the required weight for each of the fighters, and any specific rules intended to protect the boxers have yet to be announced.
