Manchester United faced a crushing 3-1 defeat against Brentford in their last Premier League match on September 27 at Gtech Community Stadium.
After Igor Thiago scored a brace in the first 20 minutes of the match, Benjamin Sesko opened the scoring for the Red Devils by netting his first goal for the club in the 26th minute.
Man United received a chance to equalize after being awarded a penalty, but captain Bruno Fernandes failed to convert it with Brentford goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher making an accurate save in the 76th minute.
The Bees' third and last goal of the match came with Mathias Jensen's goal five minutes into the second half stoppage time.
With this draw, Man United currently rank as low as 14th in the top flight with only seven points after two wins in six league games. Their persisting struggles under head coach Ruben Amorim have not only brought in criticism but also questions about the players' and manager's capabilities.
The Red Devils' loss on Saturday also saw critical comments from some of their former stars, including Gary Neville, who candidly admitted being 'very worried' about Amorim & Co.'s current 'unacceptable' form.

Now, another Man United legend, Wayne Rooney, also voiced his concerns about his former club, candidly admitting that he has 'no faith' in Amorim turning things around at Old Trafford.
While speaking on The Wayne Rooney Show podcast, the Englishman said,
"I just don't know what's going on. I have tried my hand in management and it didn't work out too well, I get it. Ruben Amorim is my age, he is still a young manager and I'm sure he still has a massive future, but what's going on at Man United, this is not Man United," as per GOAL.
"I honestly hope he can turn it around and he does. But if you're saying to me, 'do you believe he will?', then, after everything I've seen, honestly, I've got no faith in it."
Rooney's concerns and doubts about Amorim's tactics to bring on better results at United were also backed by former Tottenham coach Tim Sherwood, who mentioned that the Portuguese manager's squad is in 'relegation form.'
What did ex-Premier League star Sherwood say about Ruben Amorim's Man United?
Since taking charge in November 2024, Amorim has won only 18 matches across all competitions. Along with disappointing results in the league this season, the Red Devils also faced a humiliating defeat to EFL League Two club Grimsby Town that led to their elimination from the third round of the Carabao Cup last month.
Despite the criticism about his 3-4-3 system and lack of consistent results with the formation, Amorim has publicly mentioned that he is not yet convinced to make changes to that.
Speaking after the match, Sherwood appeared to share similar opinions to those of Rooney about Amorim and his management at Man United, and told Sky Sports,
"It looks like they are emulating that season again. All of a sudden to be challenging for the title, that's not going to happen. But we need to see gradual improvement. When I'm asked 'Is he under pressure?', I always said 'no'. I feel like he should be, but I don't think he is. I think they will give him this season, I really do," as per GOAL.
"He has already been in the job a year, we have seen no improvement. He keeps talking about the three at the back, we have talked about different personnel coming in, playing staff. He has had the windows to bring the players in. Perhaps he hasn't got what he wants. How many more windows are we going to give him and when are we going to see an improvement - even gradual? We aren't seeing anything."
The former English midfielder also stated that Amorim 'bluffed his way' into becoming Man United boss based on the results.
"What we are seeing is a man who sticks his chest out, certainly in the press conferences. When I see him on the touchline, he has got his head down, he was hiding in the dugout at Grimsby. But when I see him in front of the press, he fronts it up - he looks and he talks brilliantly. He has probably talked so well that he has bluffed his way into a job there at Man United because we're not seeing anything."
Sherwood also spoke about Amorim's managerial achievements during his time at Sporting CP, explaining the difference between Liga Portugal and the Premier League, and added,
"He has done very well in Portugal, a lot of managers do very well in Portugal - it's an inferior league to the Premier League. You can build sides on the job, you have three or four games in Portugal that are really competitive, the other times you can just play and experiment with different formations."
"You can't do that in the Premier League. You do that in the Premier League, you come unstuck. And that is what he's been doing. Since he has been at the football club, 34 points in 33 games, it's not good enough, it's relegation form."
Amorim & Man United will be hoping to put on a better display and earn a win in their next league match against Sunderland on October 4 at Old Trafford.
