New York Jets running back Braelon Allen left Monday's game against the Miami Dolphins with a knee injury that he suffered on a kickoff return.

Allen sustained the injury in the second quarter. A Jets defender made direct contact with his left knee during Allen's return, and his knee bent awkwardly. Allen eventually walked to sideline medical tent after spending several moments down on the field.

He eventually walked gingerly to the locker room, and the Jets quickly ruled him out with a knee injury. The precise nature of the injury wasn't initially clear.
