Hill suffered what looked to be a bad leg injury.
The Miami Dolphins season already wasn't going great, and then their star receiver was on the sideline with a graphic injury.
Tyreek Hill was having a good game and the Dolphins led the New York Jets on Monday night when Hill went down. He was tackled by the sideline, with the defender landing on his lower leg. The broadcast showed Hill on the ground with his foot pointed in the wrong direction. The Dolphins ruled him out shortly after with a knee injury. The team said he was taken to a local hospital for imaging, evaluation and observation.
The ESPN broadcast said the training staff cut off Hill's cleat, then stabilized his leg. ESPN said Hill's mom came down to the field before he was loaded on a cart and taken back to the locker room in a cast.

Hill had a rough 2024 season and said he wanted out of Miami after the season finale, but that was smoothed over and he was off to a decent start to the 2025 season. Hill had 198 yards in Miami's first three games and had 67 more on Monday before suffering the injury in the third quarter. In 2022 and 2023, Hill's first two seasons with the Dolphins after he was traded by the Kansas City Chiefs to Miami, he was arguably the best receiver in the NFL. He had more than 1,700 yards in back to back seasons. He had a down season last season at age 30, and depending on the severity of the injury, it might be tough for him to rebound in 2026 at age 32.
The Dolphins started 0-3, fueling speculation that Hill might be traded. After Monday, the concern for Hill will be when he can return.
