Tyreek Hill carted off with apparent leg injury vs. New York Jets on 'Monday Night Football'

Miami Dolphins star Tyreek Hill was carted off with what appeared to be a serious lower body injury against the New York Jets on Monday Night Football.

MIAMI GARDENS -- Dolphins star Tyreek Hill was carted off the field with an apparent serious leg injury earlly in the third quarter of Miami's game against the New York Jets at Hard Rock Stadium on "Monday Night Football."

Hill caught a short pass to the rigth side of the field and was hauled down near the sideline by a Jets defender. His left leg appeared to be in an unnatural position after the tackle.

Players from both teams approached Hill to offer encouragement after the injury. Hill's mother kissed him on the forehead before he left the field.

The veteran receiver was clapping as the cart exited the field to encourage Dolphins fans.

The Dolphins led the Jets 10-3 early in the third quarter at the time of the injury.

Miami scored took a 17-3 lead three plays later as quarterback Tua Tagovailoa threw a 9-yard touchdown pass to Darren Waller, his second touchdown reception of the game.
