Tyreek Hill out? Who steps up for the Miami Dolphins at wide receiver?

Tyreek Hill was injured early in the third quarter after catching a short pass and hauled down as his left leg appeared to be injured.

Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill was knocked out of the "Monday Night Football" game against the Jets and reportedly suffered a dislocated knee.

Depending on the severity of the injury, he likely will be out for a while - if not the season.

The controversial receiver was injured early in the third quarter when he caught a short pass from Tua Tagovailoa and was hauled down near the sideline by Jets safety Malachi Moore. His left leg appeared to be in an unnatural position after the tackle and he was in obvious pain before eventually being carted off the field and taken to a hospital.

So ... who steps up on the Miami receiving corps with Hill out of action? Who complements Jaylen Waddle on the deep routes?

Darren Waller, Malik Washington prime candidates

It is sort of fitting that on the night Tyreek went down, tight end Darren Waller stepped up. Seeing his first action of the season, Waller caught a pair of touchdown passes. If he is anywhere near the receiver who excelled for the Raiders a few years ago, the Dolphins will not be sweating as much.

Malik Washington surprisingly has turned into the team's third receiver in 2025. Can he improve even more and help fill Hill's cleats?

Nick Westbrook-Ikhine was signed as a free agent after posting a career-high nine touchdown passes and 497 receiving yards for Tennessee last season. So far, he has not shown much.

The same can be said for the other receivers on the roster - Dee Eskridge and Tahj Washington. Of course, the Dolphins always can go out and try to sign a receiver if Hill is lost for the season.
