New Boston Huron boys soccer wraps up perfect season in Huron League; Milan, Flat Rock, Huron notch volleyball victories.

NEW BOSTON – New Boston Huron’s boys soccer team has completed its perfect run through the Huron League.

The Chiefs got a late goal from Johann Vasquez Martinez to pull out a 2-1 win over Grosse Ile in the final game of the league tournament on Monday, Sept. 29.

“Grosse Ile brought everything they could tonight and made it a super close game,” said Huron coach Matt Lividini. “Huron increased their excitement and enthusiasm (in the second half) and began to win the middle of the field.”

Vasquez Martinez assisted on Huron’s first goal by Ian Petrick, then bent in a shot on a free kick for the winner.
