Greater Anglia announces extra services to take Canaries supporters to Portman Road.
Extra trains have been scheduled ahead of the East Anglian derby's return on Sunday.
About 2,000 Norwich City supporters will travel to Portman Road for the 12:00 BST kick-off against Ipswich Town.
Four additional trains have been scheduled by Greater Anglia for before the match and two afterwards, alongside the scheduled hourly service between Norwich and Ipswich.
The rail company's area customer service manager, James Steward, said: "We know this match is very important to thousands of our customers."
The extra services will leave Norwich at 07:20, 08:15, 09:08 and 10:30, with all calling at Diss on the way to Ipswich.
After the game there will be services departing Ipswich at 14:25 and 15:10, also stopping at Diss on the way to Norwich.
Mr Steward added: "We always want to support large local events where possible and make it easy for people to travel to by train.
"Trains will run with the maximum number of carriages. Our new trains are longer and have more seats. However, we would ask everyone to be patient while boarding as we are expecting very high passenger numbers on these services."
The Championship encounter will be the first between the local rivals since April last year, due to Town spending a season in the Premier League.
That match ended 1-0 to the Canaries at Carrow Road and extended City's unbeaten run in the fixture to 14 matches.
There is added spice to the reunion though as the player who scored the winner for Norwich in that game, Chilean midfielder Marcelino Nunez, controversially joined Ipswich last month in a deal reportedly worth £10m.
The Tractor Boys are hoping to claim the bragging rights for the first time since April 2009, when they won 3-2 at Portman Road.
Just a point separates the teams in mid-table in the early Championship standings, although Ipswich have played one game fewer.
Town head to Bristol City later and City host West Brom on Wednesday evening.
