Liverpool still has big ambitions. But to stay in the title race, Salah will need to quickly rediscover his spark.
Liverpool: Alan Shearer explains Mohamed Salah's dip in form
Liverpool suffered their first defeat of the season, falling 2-1 away to Crystal Palace. And for Alan Shearer, one thing is clear: Mohamed Salah is not playing with his usual confidence.
Liverpool remains strong in the league, with five wins from six matches. But beneath those results, questions linger about their performances. Despite a blockbuster transfer window bringing in Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak, the team is still struggling to find its balance. Wirtz, signed for a record fee, has yet to score or provide an assist in the Premier League.

As for Salah, he has yet to recapture the clinical edge that defined his previous season. Shearer, the legendary Newcastle and England striker, summed it up on the The Rest is Football podcast:
Salah doesn't look confident. This isn't the Salah we know yet. It will change eventually, but for now, Liverpool's attack just isn't clicking the way it should.
According to Shearer, the attacking trio of Isak, Wirtz, and Salah still hasn't found the right chemistry. The Reds often leave it late to score, but their overall impression remains mixed.
